Shoe City is dedicated to the well-being of our neighbors in communities in which we operate. Shoe City is engaged with its’ social duties as a business in the community standing alongside citizens to improve community life.
Our Community Focus centers on supporting efforts to improve life for our neighbors with a special focus on our youth! Past efforts have included sponsorship of recreational leagues, playground improvements, college scholarships, shoe, coat and food drives. We are participating in your community because we care and strive to help make a difference.

Each year Shoe City partners will local radio stations to award college scholarships to deserving high school seniors throughout the Baltimore Washington, Richmond and Norfolk areas. The scholarships are awarded to deserving students based on academic achievement, financial need and community involvement. Scholarship awards can be used at degree-granting, nonprofit, four-year colleges and universities in the United States that participate in the Federal Student Aid Programs (Title IV). Special requests for scholarships to attend community colleges will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Scholarships are paid directly to the educational institution and covers direct educational expenses charged to the student by the college or university. Expenses include tuition and fees, room and board, books and mandatory equipment.

This is a letter the Children's Mission Inc. sent Shoe City.
Dear Shoe City,
With our hurting economy, lost jobs, houses foreclosures, food prices increase and gas prices in question all during this another Thanksgiving Holiday just around the corner. As founder of The Children's Mission Inc. I ask myself should I call on Shoe City's help and knowing the many commitments you are involve throughout the communities shown in your acts of giving to those less fortune.I am so moved and touched to know Shoe City is still a great support to The Children's Mission, Inc. helping us to reach so many in need. Our clothes giveaway in July was a huge success followed with our coats giveaway in September 2008 all made possible because of you Shoe City, your big heart in giving to those that otherwise will go and be without. For your kind acts in giving you have never asked of anything of The Children's Mission, Inc. Mr. Greenberg please know God see you/Shoe City's good works and he is most please, God's forever embrace to you and all you holds close to your heart.
